Priority award ticket/upgrade guarantees On special travel dates, Lifetime Platinum members, Platinum members and Gold members may request award upgrades or award tickets in booking classes O/I/X. Availability is limited. Members should call the PhoenixMiles member services centre as soon as possible so that we can prioritise guaranteeing the award ticket. This service does not apply to Tibet Airlines and Air Macau flights. Silver members can request award tickets/upgrades from the PhoenixMiles member services centre for flights operated by Air China, Shandong Airlines or Shenzhen Airlines, subject to availability. Requests can be made up to 48 hours before departure for domestic Air China routes, Air China routes to Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and South Asia, and all Shandong Airlines flights. Requests can be made up to 72 hours before departure for Air China and Shenzhen Airlines routes to Europe, North America, Australia and Africa. This benefit does not apply to other Air China Group carriers.
Priority waitlist and airport standby If other PhoenixMiles members are on standby for the same ticket class, the following order of member priority shall apply: Lifetime Platinum, Platinum, Gold and Silver. Members of the same membership level will be assigned seats on a first-come, first-served basis. Air Macau only offers a priority standby service at the airport.

Departure lounge access ⑤ Members may invite one guest to join them in the First Class lounge. The guest must be travelling on a Star Alliance member-operated flight departing on the same day. Where the weight concept applies, the length, width and height of each piece of baggage shall not exceed 100 cm (40 in), 60 cm (24 in) and 40 cm (16 in) respectively.

Where the piece concept applies, the sum of the dimensions of each piece of baggage shall not exceed 158 cm (62 in), including wheels and handles. For first and business class passengers, baggage items must not weigh more than 32 kg (70 lb). For Economy Class passengers, baggage items must not weigh more than 23 kg (50 lb). Some Tibet Airlines flights are excluded.

⑤ Members may use their membership card to gain entry to the operating carrier's departure lounge. Members travelling on flights operated by Air China or Shenzhen Airlines may access Star Alliance Gold departure lounges. Members travelling on Air Macau-operated, NX-coded flights may only invite guests who are travelling on the same flight on the same day.

⑥ When you travel on an Air China-operated, CA-coded international flight or a Shenzhen Airlines-operated, ZH-coded international flight, you may use business class lounges run by Air China or Shenzhen Airlines.

Air China-operated business class lounges are available at Beijing Capital International Airport (T3), Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, and Tianjin Binhai International Airport.
Shenzhen Airlines-operated Business Class lounges are available at Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, Sunan Shuofang International Airport, Shenyang Taoxian International Airport, Nanjing Lukou International Airport, and Xi'an Xianyang International Airport.

When you travel on an Air China-operated, CA-coded international flight or a Shenzhen Airlines-operated, ZH-coded international flight, you can redeem 1,500 kilometres to access Air China or Shenzhen Airlines business class departure lounges.

Air China business class lounges are available at Beijing Capital International Airport (T3), Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, Tianjin Binhai International Airport, Hohhot Baita International Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport (T2), Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, and Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport.

Shenzhen Airlines business class lounges are available at Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, Wuxi Shuofang International Airport, Shenyang Taoxian International Airport, Nanjing Lukou International Airport, Xi'an Xianyang International Airport.

⑦ No member benefits are offered for disruptions to Air Macau flights.

When Shenzhen Airlines or Tibet Airlines flights are disrupted, and there is no business class service available, Gold members will be treated as first class passengers. Silver members will be treated as economy class passengers.
